“You should just leave.” If you’re thinking about an abusive relationship this seems like sound advice, right? If you have ever been in or known someone in an abusive relationship, whether it was physical, verbal or mental/emotional abuse, the natural inclination is to encourage someone to just get out as a show of support, but it isn’t always that simple. In today’s episode, we’re tackling the heavy topic of abusive relationships and how to truly support someone living in one. I encourage each of us to challenge the way we approach these situations and I discuss why changing our mindsets around them can really equip us to help someone or ourselves. While I hope you are never close to a situation like this, tune-in for some food for thought on how to be a better ally to yourself or to someone else.

Dating can be tough. Sometimes, we find a person who checks all the boxes, and we are quick to anoint them “the one” and our thoughts race through a million different scenarios. Do they like me back? Would they be good with kids? Will we make enough to live on? The list can be endless and exhausting. Today on Love This B!tch, we are going to focus on how to incorporate mindfulness into our dating lives and how not to get overwhelmed by our emotions when getting to know (and falling in love with) a new partner. Being mindful of who we are, our situation, our partner, and our needs can help us navigate the trickiness of dating and let us not be consumed by things and emotions often outside of our control.
